How it all began

The Aziz Tabba Dialysis Center commenced under the banner of Aziz Tabba Foundation (ATF) in 1995 as a 4-unit dialysis facility. ATF is a personal philanthropic venture  of Mr. Abdul Razzaq Tabba that aims to benefit the local community; ATF is a Section 42 (not-for-profit) company and registered with Pakistan Center for Philanthropy.

Aziz Tabba Dialysis center was renamed in 2001 as Tabba Kidney Institute (TKI), and in 2016 was relocated to its current premises; a purpose built facility to accommodate comprehensive prophylaxis and therapeutic management of nephro-urological diseases.

Recognition & Affiliations

Tabba Kidney Institute (TKI) is a Post Graduate Training Institute accredited by the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) for postgraduate residency training leading to fellowship and specialization in Nephrology and Urology.

Being an ISO certified (ISO 9001-2015) organization, TKI adheres to international standards and the industry best practices.

Other certifications include the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA).

Ethical Committee

Tabba Kidney Institute (TKI) is devoted to high ethical standards in patient care, training, and research. The Hospital Ethics Committee (HEC), comprising senior doctors, management, nurses, and an external non-medical professional, oversees this commitment.

The HEC ensures ethical practices in patient care, training, and research at TKI. Regular lectures by internal and guest speakers update employees on medical ethics.

Feedback from medical professionals, patients, or families is welcomed by the HEC via a provided form for investigation and resolution.

TKI supports employee growth by sponsoring advanced degrees and diplomas.
